PAX 2012 God of War: Ascension Panel is Friday, Attend for Beta Access

God of War fans! For the first time in the history of this epic franchise, the gods of Sony Santa Monica Studio will be throwing down the gauntlet in our first-ever God of War panel! This is a panel you do not want to miss. Unless you want Kratos to seek revenge on you for not watching, and you know how that goes down.

The panel will take place in the great halls of PAX 2012 this Friday, August 31st from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the Unicorn Theater (located in the Convention Center). If you’re not attending PAX, you can watch the livestream on Twitch.tv!

God of War has always been about providing you the most epic “larger-than-life” moments and you can rest assured we’re going to make sure our fans remember “this hour.” So what in the name of Kratos is going down?!

God of War: Ascension Game Director Todd Papy, Lead Game Designer Mark Simon, Principal Character Artist Patrick Murphy, and the award-winning writer behind the God of War series, Marianne Krawczyk, will discuss the origins of God of War: Ascension and provide a never-before-seen look at the evolution of Kratos.

The team will debut a brand-new exclusive reveal trailer of a major character in God of War: Ascension that Kratos will encounter as he seeks to break the blood oath to Olympus that has bound him to Ares.

Our team will also discuss the secrets and creation process behind God of War, the impossibilities of creating massive gameplay moments (remember fighting Cronos in GOWIII?), and genre-defining visceral combat mechanics. Additionally, you’ll learn about the origins of bringing

to God of War for the first time — it’s what we call “our Titan.”
