Слух о ремастере Spyro the Dragon не кажется недостоверным, к тому же его упоминание найдено в исходном коде Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Пользователь твиттера BetaM опубликовал кусок кода Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, в котором отмечается демо-версия Spyro the Dragon .
 
 
Ранее журналист портала Kotaku Лаура Кейт Дейл сообщила, что информация по поводу выхода ремастера  Spyro the Dragon получена из многих источников. С её слов в сборник войдут три игры сериала, а его созданием занимается студия Vicarious Vision, которая ранее трудилась над Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, а также портировала Destiny 2 на PC. Обе работы были проделаны на «отлично». Не исключено, что выход Spyro the Dragon состоится 9 сентября. В этот день исполнится двадцать лет с момента релиза оригинальной игры.
