Не исключено, что компания Ubisoft представит на выставке Е3 2018 новую часть серии Splinter Cell. Упоминание о новой части знаменитой серии стелс-боевиков промелькнуло на официальном сайте канадского отделения торговой сети Amazon. Пока проект обозначен как Е3 Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018_РС. Каких-либо подробностей об игре нет.

В 2016 году в сети появились слухи о том, что актёр Майкл Айронсайд вернётся к роли Сэма Фишера в новой части Splinter Cell.
 
После пресс-конференции Ubisoft на Е3 2017 генеральный директор компании Ив Гийемо (Yves Guillemot ) заявил о том, что серия Splinter Cell не забыта. Тогда Гийемо говорил о том, что компания обдумывает будущее бренда, и поклонникам Сэма Фишера придётся подождать.
 
Последняя на данный момент часть серии Splinter Cell (Splinter Cell: Blacklist) вышла на РС, PS3, Xbox 360 и Wii U в августе 2013 года.
