GameСube Mini может стать следующей миниатюрной версией серии консолей от Nintendo. Об этом сообщает японская пресса. Компания регистрирует на родине торговые марки, связанные с видеоиграми оригинала. Ранее подобная ситуация приводила к анонсам мини-версий NES и SNES.

Стоит учитывать, что «железо» GameCube намного более мощное, чем у NES- и SNES mini, поэтому цена может значительно отличаться от прошлых устройств. Также сообщается, что в ближайшем будущем могут быть анонсированы продукты по торговым маркам Nintendo 64 и Game Boy.
 
GameCube появилась в 2001 году и относится шестому поколению консолей. На ней выходили такие хиты, как The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Super Smash Bros. Melee и многие другие.
