Геймдизайнер и художник студии Team Cherry Ари Гибсон (Ari Gibson) сообщил о том, что по состоянию на 11 июня (за один день до релиза издания для Switch) продажи РС-версии метроидвании Hollow Knight превысили отметку в один миллион копий. Данная цифра включает в себя продажи версий для Windows, Mac и Linux. Версия Hollow Knight для Windows вышла в феврале 2017 года, а версии для Mac и Linux – в апреле 2017 года.

Hollow Knight вышла на Switch 12 июня 2018 года и пользуется спросом на этой платформе. За две недели продано 250 тысяч копий Switch-версии игры.
 
Таким образом, общие продажи игры уже превышает 1,25 миллиона копий.
