Редактор Kotaku Джейсон Шрейер прокомментировал на форуме ResetEra ситуацию с серией Splinter Cell. По его словам, Ubisoft не планирует возвращать Сэма Фишера из отпуска в ближайшее время.

«Я не могу однозначно заявить: “В разработке не находится новая часть Splinter Cell “. Зная, как работает Ubisoft, есть вероятность того, что некий проект находится на стадии предварительного производства и когда-нибудь станет новой частью Splinter Cell. Однако люди, осведомлённые о происходящем в Ubisoft, с кем я общался, говорят, что насколько им известно новая часть Splinter Cell в ближайшее время не появится», - сказал Шрейер.
