Серия стратегий в реальном времени Age of Empires переживает вторую молодость. Работа над четвертой частью идет полным ходом, а классические игры получают обновленные версии и новый контент. Примером является Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition от Forgotten Empires.

На Youtube-канале IGN появилось 11-минутное видео с игровым процессом специально подготовленной миссии, которая отображает, чего можно ждать от игры. Помимо улучшения графики, анимации и интерфеса, разработчики обновили саундтрек, но не изменили основы: создание базы, сбор ресурсов, получение новых войск и разработку технологий. У поклонников оригинала не будет проблем при знакомстве с новой версией.
 

Премьера Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition состоится 14 ноября в Microsoft Store и Steam.
