Ведущий продюсер онлайновой игры Final Fantasy XIV Наоки Йосида поделился планами касательно развития проекта в будущем.

По словам продюсера, создатели Final Fantasy XIV сейчас «активно работают» над версией игры для PlayStation 5. Подробностей об издании для консоли следующего поколения Йосида не сообщил.
 
Final Fantasy XIV сейчас доступна на РС и PS4. Проект активно развивается и остаётся успешным, а недавно в игре появился рейд в стилистике Nier Automata. Также Фил Спенсер недавно заявил, что Final Fantasy XIV выйдет на Xbox One в обозримом будущем.
 
Запуск PlayStation 5 состоится в конце 2020 года.
