Когда-то студия Eidos Montreal занималась проектами Deus Ex: Human Revolution и Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Журналист Bloomberg Джейсон Шрейер сообщил о том, что компания Square Enix в рамках презентации на Е3 2021 представят игру по мотивам «Стражей галактики». 

Разработкой игры занимается студия Eidos Montreal, которая принимала участие в создании провального кооперативного боевика Marvel's Avengers, вышедшего в 2020 году. В своё время Eidos Montreal делала Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided и Shadow of the Tomb Raider. 

Также Шрейер отметил, что в тизере презентации Square Enix нет упоминание о Final Fantasy XVI, которая заявлена только для PS5.
