В день релиза, 25 мая, в проект от студии Experiment 101 в определённый момент одновременно играло 55048 пользователей Steam

Однако популярность игры в Steam стремительно падает. Уже 2 июня пиковый онлайн Biomutant не превышал 10 тысяч человек. 

В течение последних 24 часов пиковый онлайн проекта составил 8641 пользователь Steam. При этом количество единовременных игроков в Biomutant опускается до 3,9 тысяч. 

Сейчас у Biomutant более 7,6 тысяч пользовательских отзывов в Steam, 68% которых являются положительными. Проект критикуют за однообразие заданий и невысокое качество реализации многих ключевых аспектов.
