Китайська корпорація Tencent збирається інвестувати $297 мільйонів у Guillemot Brothers Limited - холдинг засновників Ubisoft.

Таким чином Tencent отримає 49,9% акцій та 5% прав голосу у Guillemot Brothers Limited. Крім того, китайці збільшать свою частку в самій Ubisoft з 4,5% до 9,99% з умовою, що ця частка не підвищиться протягом восьми років.

Партнерство з Tencent охоплює створення мобільних проектів з кількох франшиз Ubisoft і випуск кількох ПК-ігор видавництва в Китаї.

Після укладання угоди склад керівників Guillemot Brothers Limited не зміниться – сім'я Гіймо збереже контроль над компанією.

Купувати французьке видавництво Tencent поки що не має наміру.
