Во вторую неделю августа по данным Famitsu было продано 214 821 консолей Nintendo 3DS. В предыдущую неделю Nintendo продала около 4 000 консолей. Таким образом, продажи увеличились в 54 раза, что является самым крупным скачком продаж за неделю в Японии за всё время наблюдений! Кроме 40%ого прайсдропа, на продажи также повлиял выход Pokemon Scramble и праздники Obon.
