Голливудские источники утверждают, что Sony Pictures наняла продюсеров Майка Де Лука (Mike De Luca) и Дану Брунетти (Dana Brunetti) для работы над фильмом по интеллектуальной собственности Gran Turismo. Жанр гоночных экшенов имеет свою аудиторию, благодаря, в частности, серии The Fast and the Furious. Кроме того, в следующем году в прокат выйдет фильм Need for Speed с очень неплохим актерским составом (Аарон Пол, Майкл Китон, Доминик Купер и проч.) Стоит добавить, что продажи эксклюзивном для консолей семейства PlayStation серии Gran Turismo превысили 70 млн. копий. Этой осенью на PS3 выйдет Gran Turismo 6, которая чуть позже может появиться на PS4.
