В ходе пресс-конференции Sony на выставке Gamescom 2013 было официально объявлено о глобальном снижение рекомендованной розничной цены на консоль PS Vita, которая теперь будет предлагаться за 199 долларов/евро.
Такой же ценник будет установлен на младшую модель PlayStation 3, оснащенной встроенной памятью объемом 12 ГБ.
