Несмотря на то, что многие сомневаются в успешности бизнес-модели free-to-play на домашних консолях, Sony Online Entertainment уверена, что эта схема может и будет отлично работать в будущем.

«DC Universe Online для PS3 является самым быстро растущим сегментом нашего бизнеса, - заявил исполнительный директор компании Джон Смедли (John Smedley) в интервью GamesIndustry. - 70% дохода DC Universe Online приносит именно версия для PS3, как и 70% пользователей играют именно на консоли, а не на РС».

Смедли также считает, что вопреки распространенному мнению, консольные геймеры более склонны к тратам во free-to-play играх, чем игроки, предпочитающие РС. Edited by Father (see edit history)
