По состоянию на конце мая, спустя две недели после релиза, продажи шутера от первого лица DOOM в сервисе Steam превысили отметку 500 тыс. копий.

Теперь же, через три месяца после появления игры в продаже, в популярном сервисе цифровой дистрибуции компьютерных игр реализовано более 1 млн копий DOOM.

Несмотря на некоторые критические высказывания, в целом игру отлично встретили как обозреватели, так и рядовые игроки, а ее средний балл не опустился ниже 85/100.
