Valve уходит от старых систем. Клиент Steam не будет поддерживать операционные системы Windows XP и Vista с начала следующего года. Некоторые новые возможности Steam недоступны из-за того, что они основаны на встроенной версии Google Chrome, а браузер больше не работает на указанных версиях Windows.

Статистика магазина говорит о том, что доля пользователей Windows XP и Vista составляет менее 1%, поэтому абсолютное большинство игроков не пострадает.
 
Microsoft не выпускает обновления для XP с апреля 2014 и для Vista с апреля 2017 года. Blizzard прекратила поддержку XP и Vista в World of Warcraft и в новых играх с 2017 года.

Breaking News: киллер фича Epic Shop – поддержка Win 2000,XP,Vista,OS/2. 

 

P.S. Был уверен,что прекратили поддержку еще в начале этого года)
