Компания THQ Nordic приобрела у студии Stainless Games права на знаменитую серию кровавых гонок Carmageddon.

Первая часть Carmageddon появилась в 1997 году, в 1999 свет увидела вторая часть с подзаголовком Carpocalypse Now, а в 2000 году вышла Carmageddon TDR 2000.
 
В мае 2015 Stainless Games выпустила  Carmageddon: Reincarnation на РС. На разработку игры было собрано около 625 тысяч долларов. Проект не снискал признания критиков, а его средний балл по версии Metacritic застыл на отметке в 54/100 (21 обзор). В июле 2016 года на РС, PS4 и Xbox One  появилась обновлённая версия Reincarnation под названием Carmageddon: Max Damage.
